Karen Ip Speech and Language Clinic has been providing speech therapy services in Canberra and surrounding regions (e.g. Queanbeyan) since March 2010.
We have a special interest in providing speech pathology assessments and treatments to toddlers, preschoolers and early primary school students (aged 0-6) with communication and feeding difficulties including
early feeding difficulties (e.g. food refusal, fussy eaters, difficulty transitioning to lumpy foods)
speech sound disorders (e.g. lisps, missing consonants within words (e.g. a 5 year old child saying 'poon' for 'spoon'))
language delays (e.g. a 2 year old child who uses less than 10 words)
difficulties in emergent literacy (e.g. the ability to recognise that the word 'key' starts with the 'kkkk' sound)
social communication difficulties
children with a disability (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder)
We also provide workshops and training to other professionals including educators at early childhood centres, preschool teachers and teachers at primary schools.
