Karen Ip is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and a practising member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Karen graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) in 2007. She has worked in a variety of settings including Queanbeyan Community Health Centre, Queanbeyan District Hospital, Queanbeyan Children’s Special Needs Group (Treehouse), Queanbeyan South Public School and Therapy ACT. She also had experience providing speech pathology services in regional areas such as Bungendore and Braidwood.

Karen established Karen Ip Speech and Feeding Clinic (previously known as Karen Ip Speech and Language Clinic) in March 2010. In 2020, she was offered a clinical supervisor position in which she offered clinical support and supervision to new graduates at a local speech pathology practice.

Karen was born in Hong Kong and hence she speaks fluently in Cantonese. She can also speak Mandarin and simple Japanese. This background has definitely helped her in seeing clients with the Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) more holistically.
